All of these machines are one of a kind, built from scratch. The coils are hand spun the old fashioned way. Springs are hand cut, bent and tweaked. Binding posts are hand-turned brass. And the frames are steel, wrenches, nuts and bolts, horseshoes, and other random objects, hand welded, drilled, ground, tapped , and finished by me in my workshop. I tune each machine the way I like them to run- hard but fair. I guarantee them for life, and each one is signed and numbered. Another important note: these machines are designed with one thing in mind- FUNCTION- they are intended to LOOK handmade, therefore, I do not do extensive machining or polishing – I like them a little rough. It gives them a nice character.
About me: ten years ago I apprenticed under a real old-timer from back in the day when every tattooer had to know how to build their gear from the ground up. He instilled in me a wealth of information about machine mechanics, biker lore , and various other hocus-pocus. ten years of tinkering, toiling ,and trial and erroring later, these machines are what I have to show for myself. Thanks for the memories, Ed!
NOTE: not all of these machines are for sale, but in most cases I can build reproductions if you see one you really like.
